A few pics from a Route 66 trip in early 2016.  Set out from Oklahoma City with a group of photographers and finished outside Las Vegas.


The Cadillac Ranch along I-40 outside of Amarillo, TX.  It was the early 1970's and three friends thought it would be a great idea to partially bury old Cadillacs and then spray paint them.  Given the timeframe, controlled substances may have been involved in the planning.



The Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari, NM.  One of the original 1930's Mother Road motels.



Standin' On the Corner in Winslow Arizona.  Statue of Glenn Frey.  Note the girl in the flatbed Ford.



Must have a Route 66 sign
