A few pics from a Route 66 trip in early 2016.  Set out from Oklahoma City with a group of photographers and finished outside Las Vegas.


The Cadillac Ranch along I-40 outside of Amarillo, TX.  It was the early 1970's and three friends thought it would be a great idea to partially bury old Cadillacs and then spray paint them.  Given the timeframe, controlled substances may have been involved in the planning.



The Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari, NM.  One of the original 1930's Mother Road motels.



Standin' On the Corner in Winslow Arizona.  Statue of Glenn Frey.  Note the girl in the flatbed Ford.



Must have a Route 66 sign

  10-21-2024 My photography is primarily focused on landscapes, nature and whatever else catches my eye. The cub is mimicking mom telling us to back off.   I call this one "I Am Just So Darn Cute".  Also photographed in South Africa. I was accused of posing the leopard cub for this shot.  As if I could walk up to momma leopard, ask to borrow her kid and by the way have the cub climb the tree, pose by the berries and look cute.
